The Desert Experience

From Gorges Dades to the  Merzouga desert

I’ve been trekking in the Sahara Desert in Morocco since 2011 and it just keeps getting better and better. We'll be singing at night, telling stories under the full moon, walking in the dunes with other interesting people from around the world.

Every year I see people open up as the trekking goes along and everyone leaves as a slightly different person. Looking up at the millions of stars overhead stretching into infinity we’re reminded of how precious each moment of our lives is. Berbers say: "People in a hurry are already dead". Forgiving ourselves, we come to peace with the world and leave the desert light in heart and mind.

People often worry that they’re too old/young/inexperienced (you are not), but always look forwards to returning to the Sahara. A piece of us lives there. You’ll be blown away by the majestic dunes, the brightness of the stars in the desert and the magic of the Sahara.
